eSucculent Packaging Process

What to take note of my order?

We will try to ship succulents bare rooted after dry thoroughly for 3-4 days before packing. The roots of some plants maybe not strong, and roots also would be damaged with packing and shipping but it does not affect the cultivation of succulents and the growth of succulents.

This may takes time to process. It depends on local weather conditions. So if you are in a hurry, please be cautious to buy.

Proper dehydration ensures that succulents do not rot during long-distance transport. Succulents consume their own water during transport to maintain metabolism, so it is normal for the plants you receive to dry up.

After receiving it, plant it in slightly damp soil, do not water, do not expose to the sun, and place it in a cool, ventilated place. It can be recovered in about 1 week and can be watered and exposed to light.

Why is my plant different from the picture shown?

Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors.

Since the plant is alive, its state will change over time, the planting environment, and the transportation environment.

Important note: Colors of succulents plants are not the same throughout all year round. Different species types vary their colors differently.

Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent rot and or freezing of the plants. They will plump back up after planting/ repotting.

As the lack of light in long-distance transportation, the color of the plants will fade which is normal. But in a sunny and ventilated environment, they can achieve the most beautiful state through your good care.

If your growing environment lacks sunlight, please use a Grow light to help stress plant color change.

Note: Some varieties of leaves are easy to fall, which is a normal phenomenon, especially in long-distance transportation. But usually the fallen leaves can be used to grow new life. You can try it for fun!

What to do after receiving the package?

Open the box as soon as possible to let the plant get some air.

Leave the plant to dry for 1-2 days before potting.
1. Prepare all tools, pot, soil, tweezers, mini trowel (or tea spoon)

2. Place a small piece of gauze to cover the drainage hole and put some soil into the pot.

3. Gently place the plant in the pot, using your hand or tweezers, then fill in more soil around the plant using the mini trowel.

4. Add some small gravel to the surface of the soil.

5. If the soil is moist, don't water, if the soil is very dry, only water a small amount around the edge of the pot, to moisten the soil. Do not water directly on, or near the plant.

6. Place the potted plant in half shade for 7-10 days to allow it to adapt to it's new environment, after which the plant should be ready for direct sunlight and proper watering.

How to have my succulents change color?

You can adopt a stressing approach. Stressing means you create ways to make the succulents having their internal changes such as with more lights, less water, or day and night temperature difference.
When subjected to stress, anthocyanin concentration raised inside the plants, and hence the colourful colours are shown under extreme lights, drought or temperature differences.
Why are there wrinkled leaves growing on my succulent after a while?
There are usually a few reasons why a plant having this.
1. It is stressed and is trying to adapt to its current environment.
2. It is trying to grow new roots and it is absorbing nutrients from the lower leaves in order to do so.
3. It is growing new leaves from the middle and the older leaves are starting to wither away. The older leaves are giving their nutrients and energy to the newer middle leaves.
Usually no major concern. These dried and withered leaves will eventually wither up and drop off once the new leaves have sprouted.
Just leave it be for now and avoid pluck them off.

Care For Lithops

Lithops are very sensitive to their growing environments. They usually dislike low temperature and direct strong sunlight. They need a growing environment with temperature preferably about 15-30 degree celsius.

Lithops also expect high quality soil permeability mixture. Ensure a well ventilated growing environment.

Important note: Do not overwater. Make sure only water when the soil is dry. The soil must be watered completely and thoroughly each time.
